My room was huge, there were central heating and a dining area. It was in a stunning and amazing location right by gardens with a beautiful view of the olive trees as well as the foothills of the Apuan Alpa.

We stayed at Casa Diocesana for two nights during our road trip. The hotel is located in a beautiful and serene rural setting, with stunning views of olive trees and gardens. The building itself has a charming, characterful atmosphere, almost like staying in a museum. The family that runs the hotel is delightful and very helpful, providing tips and recommendations for our visit to Lucca. The breakfast spread was excellent, offering a wide variety of both savory and sweet options. The spacious parking space was a bonus, especially since parking in Lucca can be difficult.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Beautiful, characterful, quiet, rural location that was perfect for a Christmas getaway
The hotel had a unique and historic charm, making it feel like staying in a museum. the staff were friendly and accommodating, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere
The lack of HVAC or ventilation made the rooms uncomfortable during hot summer days. The rooms were quite basic and could use some improvements.
